| I ventured out into the snow and found this............... |

Realistic (Tandy in the UK, Radioshack in the US/Canada) Patrolman 6, from about 1980.
A bit beaten up but it works ok..in fact its audio quality is fantastic....problems being, the volume pot is dirty and clicks the power on with an allmighty crunch, and the largr band change switch is allso dirty causing banc switching to be a little problematic......but after a bit of a tap and a blow the switch is much more reliable now.....
When i first looked at the radio in the morning at the store next door i plugged it in to see if it worked, on turning it on (after the massive switch on crash) i noticed the tuning knob was not moving the scale in the dial.......so i was only going to offer $3 for the radio........
But when i got back in the late afternoon with the money to buy the radio i noticed it had fallen off the shelf where i had put it that morning and landed on its front.......and guess what ?
The tuning now works fine !!!!
So $5 it was.......
Oh and the dial lights dont work.......but you have to remove the entire circuit board to get to them.....so thats for another time.....
Things i need:
Switch cleaner spray and replacement dial lights......
Note the snow is allmost blocking the window....and this is upstairs......the snow falls off the roof and builds up on the roof of the sunroom.......thus blocking the upstairs window !!!
*EDIT*

I had allmost forgotten this little AM only radio that i picked up for a $ or so a month or two ago......its a Panasonic R-1551C.
Fantastic reception and sound quality from this quite old radio late 60's early 70's i would say....
