The final part of the system....................
The speakers...........

I needed some speakers to complete my thrift store Hi Fi, so this morning i wandered into the shop and preceded to have a gander at the rag tag collection of boxes on offer, after disgarding the magnavox and sears flimsy offerings my attention was instantly grabbed by these....
Early 1970's Celestion "County" 2 way speakers....Made in England no less !!!!
My mood was a bit spoiled by damage to one of the speakers....

It looks like something on the top of the speaker maybe caught fire and was doused with copious amounts of water to put it out....hence the damage to the top,and the back (not shown)
Anyway these speakers are rare, and so i thought i would chance them.....if they were no good they could go in the trash.....
So i got them in, cut 2 pieces of speaker cable (picked that up in the shop as well with the speakers) and connected them to the Sony receiver ................
Perfect, well they sound perfect to me.......no blown drivers.....no rattles (i tightened the drivers up anyway) and they have been on for a few hours to loosen them up......sounding better all the time....
Oh and the price ? $2.......not bad i think a bit of work on the damaged one should bring it back to a decent condition......
So my Hi-Fi in all has cost $12 so far........
