Turntable update.........
I noticed a couple of parts missing from the turntable......one of the hinges and one of the clear plastic centering guides......

So.....back i went into the trash in the general area where the turntable had been dumped....and yes i found the bits......

P1000460

So now the dustcover works........and where there was a hole there is now a plastic thingy.....its 99% complete.....the 45 center adaptor is missing.......

Oh and i bought the massive box of records that seemed to have come in with the hifi seperates when they were donated to the shop..........so i have an instant classical collection......

Pics of records later.........

Turntable looks good. Is it worth replacing the reading head/pin?

lol the reading head......

You mean the cartridge/stylus assembly.....

It might be worth it, the cartridge that is fitted is a Sony branded Audio Technica i think and the stylus, amazingly seems little worn and undamaged.....so i will stick with it for now.....

A new one with better fequency response is about $50 or so.......
